The Jewish Studies minor consists of the following required and elective courses:

  • One year of college Hebrew (HBR 1120 and 1121) or the equivalent;
  • A total of 18 credits (six courses) in Jewish Studies or related courses, including REL 2604, Introduction to Judaism.

Upon graduation, students who complete the requirements for the minor will be awarded the certificate, which provides students with an additional academic credential that may be useful for graduate school or future employment.

Students should plan the minor under the guidance of a Jewish Studies faculty member. Each program must be approved by the director of the Center for Jewish Studies.
