Arabic Language and Literature

The minor in Arabic language and literature requires 15 credit hours distributed as follows:
- Third-year Arabic (6 credits)
- Arabic Through the Texts (offered spring semester, 3 credits)
- Two other courses from the linguistics or the literature component of the program with ARA and ABT prefixes (6 credits)
It is also possible to complete this requirement with six hours of advanced Arabic (ARA 4400 and 4401) or colloquial Arabic (ARA 4930).
An intensive summer program in Fez, Morocco, is available for students in all levels.
