College of Public Health and Health Professions

This minor provides students with foundation knowledge and skills regarding the changing health care delivery system.

Prerequisites for the minor include a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 prerequisite GPA based on general college biology, general psychology, abnormal or developmental psychology, statistics (STA 2023) and physiology. The minor is open to all juniors and seniors who meet the prerequisite requirements.

The health science minor requires 15 credit hours of which 12 credit hours must be from course work 3000 level or higher with an average grade of C or better. Students can transfer up to three hours of approved course work. The application is available from the dean‘s office, HPNP, Room 4104A.

Students must complete the required fall core courses, Survey of Diseases and Disability, and U.S. Health Care System, before taking electives.
