Mass Communication Studies

This minor is not open to College of Journalism and Communications majors.

The minor consists of a minimum of 15 credits, nine of which must be completed at UF, Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater for approval.

All course in the minor must be completed with grades of C or better; the S-U option is not acceptable.

Required Courses:

• ADV 3000, PUR 3000, RTV 3000 and RTV 3405.
• Complete either ADV 3501, PUR 3500 or JOU 4004. These courses may not be offered summer term.
• Applicants to the minor must first obtain their college dean’s approval before they seek Journalism and Communications college approval in Weimer Hall, Room 1000.
