AP Scores for Placement Into Calculus
UF offers two Calculus 1 courses: MAC 2233 Survey of Calculus and MAC 2311 Analytic Geometry and Calculus 1. Please consult the majors section to determine which calculus course is required for your major.

| 1 or 2 | MAC 1147 or 1140 (see additional info in next column to select appropriate course) | MAC 1140 satisfies the prerequisite for MAC 2233 but not, by itself, for MAC 2311. MAC 1147 or the combination of MAC 1140 and MAC 1114 satisfies the prerequisite for MAC 2311. Students wishing to bypass MAC 1140 or MAC 1147 may take the online Calculus Readiness Assessment for direct placement into MAC 2233 or MAC 2311. | Calculus AB |
| 3 | MAC 2311 | Students with AP scores of 3 will receive credit for MAC 2311. If you plan to continue in the Analytic Geometry and Calculus sequence, it it strongly recommended that you retake MAC 2311. |
