Minors

Dance
Hours: 17 credits

College of Fine Arts

The dance minor is designed to bring the student in close contact with classroom expertise in technique, as well as the enriching artistic and production aspects of dance.

Admission to the dance minor requires the completion of Modern Dance (at appropriate level) at UF with a grade of B or higher. Then the student will meet with the dance minor adviser for approval to enter the program and to establish a program of study.

The minor is comprised of a core of 10-11 credits plus 6-7 credits of emphasis as approved by the adviser. At least 12 of these credits must be completed at UF. It normally takes four semesters to complete the minor.
