The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration–Economics (BSBA–ES) degree program provides students with an understanding of how households, firms and governments make economic decisions and how the implications of those decisions affect the business environment, resource allocation, pricing, distribution of income and macroeconomic variables. The analytical skills that are developed from this curriculum, combined with core business skills, are useful preparation for careers in business, government, public policy or academia. A degree in economics is especially appropriate for students intending to pursue advanced degrees in the social sciences or in professional schools of management, law and public administration.

BSBA-ES majors are encouraged to gain practical work experience through internships and community service. In addition, the School of Business offers students a wide variety of professional development and leadership opportunities, including study abroad, the Florida Leadership Academy, involvement in student organizations and research activities. Students should consult with an academic adviser for specific information.
