Biology: An Integrative Interdisciplinary Major College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF

Staff from Departments of Botany and Zoology.

Undergraduate Coordinators: Botany T.W. Lucansky; Zoology R. Wolff

A new interdisciplinary studies major in Integrative Biology is now available for undergraduates who are interested in a broader approach to biological sciences. The curriculum is flexible and develops fundamental knowledge of animals, plants, and microorganisms, and as such it is tailored to meet the needs of preprofessional students, those seeking a career in teaching in secondary education, and those students preparing for graduate studies. This is a rigorous program that includes the same foundation courses from Core Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics that are required for majors in Botany and Zoology. Please consult the undergraduate catalog under the Departments of Botany or Zoology for basic course requirements, and the undergraduate coordinator in Botany and Zoology for guidance in the selection of specific courses in the major.
