The purpose of this course is to provide overview of health care delivery models, with an emphasis on the professional nursing role. Theories and principles of leadership are included.

NUR 4836 Dimensions of Nursing and Health Care Policy Issues and Trends.

Student will use critical thinking exercises to investigate current policies, issues and trends in nursing and health care. Emphasis is on exploration of issues related to accessibility, accountability and affordability of health care.

NUR 4837 Dimensions of Leadership and Management in Professional Nursing Practice.

Overview of theories and principles of leadership in professional nursing practice. Focus is on analysis of organizational structure and systems.

NUR 4905 Individual Study.
