The curriculum for computer and information sciences (CIS) majors prepares students for technical and managerial positions in computer science in public and private organizations. The curriculum emphasizes three aspects pertinent to the students professional career: the functions to which computers are applied in organizations, the professional skills for the design of com-puting applications and the decision-making techniques for the efficient and effective utilization of computing resources.
