The minor in Arabic language and literature requires 15 credit hours distributed as follows
- Third-year Arabic, 6 credits
- Arabic Through the Texts (offered during the spring semester), 3 credits
- Two other courses from the linguistics or the literature component of the program with ARA and ABT prefixes.
- It is also possible to complete the requirement with six hours of advanced Arabic (ARA 4400-4401) or colloquial Arabic, ARA 4930.
An intensive summer program in Fez, Morocco, is available for students in all levels.
