Recreation, Parks and Tourism - Natural Resources Recreation Management

Natural Resources Recreation Management prepares students for employment opportunities in parks, beaches, wildlife refuges or forest settings and in other outdoor recreation and park services. Courses and training focus on the knowledge and skills necessary to administer and manage recreation programs in natural environments and to manage the use of natural resources to protect the environment and enhance outdoor recreation experiences. An emphasis in ecotourism also is offered. See department adviser for details.

To remain 'on track' for this major you must meet the following critical tracking criteria .The critical tracking courses appear in bold.

Semester 1:

  • 2.0 UF GPA required for sems 1-5
  • Complete 2 of the 9 critical tracking courses (SYG2000, ECO2013, MAR3023, LAA2710, (BSC2007/2007L or BSC2010/2010L), PCB3043C, (ENC2210 or AEE3033C), (EDF3110 or DEP3053), (SPC2600 or AEE3030C)
  • Semester 2:
  • Complete 2 additional critical tracking courses

Semester 3:

  • Complete 3 additional critical tracking courses
