College of Design, Contruction and Planning

Overview

Established: 1925 and today is one of the largest design, planning and construction institutions in the country with more than 1,500 students

Location: The academic programs and other resources are located in three buildings on campus: the Architecture Building, the Fine Arts Complex building FAC, and Rinker Hall. Off-campus facilities are located in Vicenza, Italy and Nantucket Island.

Academic Advising: Freshman and sophomore advising is in the dean’s office. Students accepted into the upper division are to report to their school/department: Architecture, ARCH, Room 231; Building Construction, RNK, Room 301; Interior Design, ARCH, Room 336; Landscape Architecture, ARCH, Room 336; Urban and Regional Planning, ARCH, Room 431.

Students considering application to the college should anticipate expenditures for computers, travel, equipment and tools essential to their education as design, planning and construction professionals. For further information, contact the appropriate department/school.

Scholarships: Scholarships within the college are available when students are in the upper-division and graduate professional programs.
