Employee Education

UF Employee Education Program (EEP)

UF offers the Employee Education Program, or EEP, to allow full-time UF Academic Personnel, TEAMS and USPS employees to waive the cost of up to six credit hours per semester at the state university closest to their work location.

The EEP is not a request for admission or registration. EEP is simply the process by which UF employees may obtain assistance in paying for the coursework. Coursework can be taken either in a degree or non-degree program.

State Agency Employees

Full-time state employees who have been admitted to a degree or non-degree seeking status are eligible for a fee waiver of up to six credits of UF courses per academic semester. The State Agency Employee Tuition Fee Waiver form is not an application for admission, nor is it a request for registration; it is a waiver of course fees that must be turned in to Office of the University Registrar. To use the fee waiver, please follow these instructions:

  • Degree-seeking students must be admitted for the academic semester by the deadline before completing the employee fee waiver form.
  • Students wishing to take classes using the employee fee waiver as a non-degree student must first review the non-degree process and submit a non-degree application. In the Non-Degree Course Request page of the application, the student will select "Non-Degree Special Program" from the Program menu, then choose from the college drop down menu the college of the courses they are requesting, followed by "State Employee Waiver" under the Special Program drop down menu. • Proof of immunization is required before registering.
  • Once admitted to degree or non-degree seeking status, state employees must complete the employee fee waiver form.
  • You must consult the schedule of courses to verify course offerings for your application term.
  • The State Employee waiver covers up to six credits of tuition and related fees as defined by FL BOG 7.001, and does not cover items beyond the per credit tuition and fee rate such as: equipment use fees, distance learning fees, materials and supply fees, lab fees etc.
  • State Agency tuition fee waiver recipients must register during the State Employee Registration window, as indicated in the university deadlines. Courses added by the student or department prior to this window will not be covered. Recipients who are not registered by the end of drop/add will be held fee liable for their courses and be assessed a $100.00 late registration fee.
  • Students must complete the employee fee waiver and either upload it using the secure upload or mail it to the Office of the University Registrar, PO Box 114000, Gainesville, FL 32611-4000 before the fee payment deadline. Failure to pay all fees by the fee payment deadline will result in a $100.00 late payment fee.
