Conditions of Nondegree Registration
Unless participating in an exempt distance education special program, students must comply with the State University System immunization requirements. Proof of immunization is required and must be provided to the Student Health Care Center before registering.
Nondegree credit is not applicable to a UF degree except by subsequent admission to degree status and successful petition for application of such credit. Authorization to enroll as a nondegree student in no way implies future approval for admission as a degree-seeking student. The credit hours earned from nondegree course work may be transferred to other institutions. Students should verify with their parent institution whether courses taken at UF in a nondegree status will be accepted for credit.
All students must receive the approval of the dean of the UF college offering the course before they can register for nondegree course work except for students participating in programs sponsored by the UF International Center.
A student who is not in good standing or who is under suspension from any institution may not register for nondegree course work.
Anyone who has been denied admission to the University of Florida may not register for nondegree course work. A student who is already admitted to the University of Florida may not register for nondegree course work. Additionally, if you previously have attended UF in a degree-seeking status and did not subsequently earn a bachelor's degree, you are not eligible for nondegree registration.
Please contact the college or program offering the course(s) you intend to take to inquire about further restrictions and requirements unless you are an International Exchange or Study Abroad student.
Directions for Nondegree Registration Please read carefully. Failure to follow these instructions and provide all required information may result in a delay in the processing of your application or a rejection of your application. Once your application is submitted, check your email inbox, junk mail and spam folders for emails from an @ufl.edu address.
Complete this online Nondegree Registration Request fully and accurately. Incomplete application or applications with incorrect information cannot be processed.
If claiming Florida residency, the person claiming Florida residency must provide at least two forms of residency documentation with their ORIGINAL issue date. Providing renewal dates may result in a delay in the processing of your application.
If you are claiming Florida residency under one of the exception categories, you must provide the required documentation listed on the form. Documentation can be uploaded via the application or faxed to (352) 846-1126, Attn: Nondegree Residency. Failure to provide required documentation may result in a delay in the processing of your application.
The application will be electronically forwarded to the UF college requested on the application for approval. Colleges may have additional requirements prior to making approval decisions.
Visiting international students must also have their application approved by the UF International Student Center.
If approved, a UFID and registration start time will be created. You will receive an email with directions on finding your UFID number and creating your GatorLink account at this time. Please note, students applying to a Special Program will not be emailed by the Office of the University Registrar once their application is processed.
Prior to registration, the student must clear all holds. This will include submitting immunization records to the UF Student Health Care Center (unless in an exempt special distance program), submitting Emergency Contact Information online, accepting the terms of registration on ONE.UF, as well as furnishing proof of health insurance if participating as an international student.
Course offerings and course information can be found in the current Schedule of Courses and used to register on ONE.UF. After registering you can verify and print your class schedule on ONE.UF.
Pay course fees at University Bursar, 113 Criser Hall or online at ONE.UF, by 3:30 p.m. on the Fee Payment Deadline unless otherwise directed by your program coordinator. Failure to pay fees by the deadline will result in a late payment fee.
