FloridaShines Transient Applicant Reminders

Fall and Spring Terms

Transient students are only allowed to enroll in online sections of the approved courses they requested on their application. If students enroll in a non-online section they will be subject to being dropped from the section. If they enroll in courses not listed on their application, students will be subject to being dropped from the section.

Summer Terms

Transient students are only allowed to enroll in sections of the approved courses they requested on their application. If students enroll in courses not listed on their application, they will be subject to being dropped from the section.

All Terms

Transient application review begins approximately six weeks prior to the start of the application term. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received; processing timelines vary depending on volume of applications received.

Next Steps

Within five business days of a transient application's approval, the student will receive an email with a link to establish a myAdmissions account through UF. Once established, an eight-digit UFID and information regarding registration will be visible on this portal. Status updates will be posted on the application status page and will provide registration directions and information on creating a GatorLink account.

Before registration, a student must clear all holds, which include submission of immunization records to the UF Student Health Care Center, emergency contact information and accepting the terms of registration on ONE.UF. International students will be prompted to furnish proof of health insurance. Registration start times will be visible in ONE.UF after all holds have been cleared.

Pay course fees online at ONE.UF by 3:30 p.m. on the fee payment deadline unless directed otherwise by the program coordinator.
