What is a Transcript?

A transcript is a comprehensive record of an individual's academic progress, including transferred undergraduate courses, credit earned by examination and degrees awarded. Your name will appear on your transcript as it appears on your university record.

UF Mails Official Transcripts

UF will mail only official transcripts. Official transcripts include the university seal and the signature of the registrar. UF transcripts are printed on security paper that includes tests for authenticity. When mailed, transcripts arrive in sealed envelopes with seal and signature of the registrar across the back flap of the envelope.

Transcript Costs

There is a charge for transcripts, and payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Diner's Club. Payments are nonrefundable.

How and When to Order Transcripts

Transcripts ordered by 5 p.m. generally mail the next business day. Exception: Orders placed the Friday before commencement through the following Tuesday will print on Wednesday.

Transcripts cannot be ordered by e-mail, telephone or fax, and they cannot be emailed or sent as PDFs. Transcript requests also cannot be held for printing at a future date.

If you would like to pick up your transcript in person, you may do so by choosing "pick up at counter". Your order may be picked up at the Registrars Information Counter in 222 Criser Hall, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding state and federal holidays. Transcripts will be available for 5 business days. After that, they will be mailed to your permanent home mailing address listed on the directory.
